Onam Festival
Onam festival is one of the most popular festivals of Kerala. It is celebrated for 10 days in the months of August & September. On the occasion of Onam, most of the people clean their houses and adorn with fresh flowers to influence the King Mahabali. This amazing festival is celebrated with full of joy and happiness in Kerala. Some of the major lures of this festival are folk dances, songs, boat races, feasts and many more. This festival is an ideal example of religious harmony as well.

Thrissur Pooram Festival
The Thrissur pooram festival is celebrated at the temple city of Thrissur in Kerala. This carnival is celebrated in the months of March & April. The Vadakkunnathan temple and Thekkinkadu maidan temple are the major celebrations places for this carnival. Some of the best attractions of this festival are the procession of 30 adorned elephants, competition of the multicolored umbrellas, superb firework shows and so on. This procession ends at the Vadakkunnathan temple.

Maha Shivratri
Maha Shivratri is another important festival of Kerala. It is celebrated in the month of February & March. It is the majestic night of worship of Lord Shiva. The devotees are on fast for whole day and worship the Lord Shiva. At night, people do the worship of the ideal Lord and enjoy the festival. Hence, the Maha Shivratri has its own significance in Kerala.
