1. Ajanta Caves


Ajanta Caves are situated about 108 km from the region of Aurangabad in Maharashtra. There are around 30 caves located at Ajanta place and all these superb caves are blessed with lots of paintings and statues of Lord Buddha. The 30 well designed caves were built in two stages like- first around 200 BCE and second around 600 BCE.


2. Bhaja Caves


Bhaja caves are located around 12 km from Lonavla areas in Maharashtra. The caves are the best examples of the early Theravadin phase of Buddhism. Bhaja caves are a group of approx 18 caves. Some of the major allures of the spots are images, pillars, various symbols, pictures of a dancing couple etc. The architecture of these caves are designed very aesthetically.


3. Junnar Caves


Junnar caves lie in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. The caves have been divided into three main categories like Tulija Lena group, Manmodi Hill group and Ganesh Lena group. At the sites, you would be able to search lots of lures such as beautiful statues, gigantic monuments, inscriptions and many more. Primarily, all the destinations are designed really tremendously.


4. Ellora Caves


Ellora caves are situated about 28 Km from Aurangabad city of Maharashtra. At Ellora, you will be able to find around 34 caves and all these 34 spots are related to Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Besides it, the caves depict the love and respect of all the religions of India which has been in the origin of Indian culture and traditions.
